Good morning to all Oaks families.

I write to you from sunny Wales this morning. We have had a lovely half term in school and the children have produced some wonderful work. It is now time for families to spend some time together and for our staff to rest.

As you will know, the prime minister set out a road map for the easing of lockdown restrictions. As of 17th May, we have been able to travel abroad. The advice is however, that people should not travel to ‘amber’ and ‘red’ countries, and that strict rules on testing and quarantine remain in place to protect public health and the vaccination programme. Further information can be found in the guidance on red, amber and green list rules for entering England.

If you have travelled to an amber or red country over the Whit week, please do follow the quarantine rules in order to protect others. Please be honest with us and let us know on your return, that you will need to isolate by leaving a voice mail on our school answering machine. You can do this by calling 0151 338 2111 and selecting the option to report a pupil absence. Mrs C Roberts will then be in touch on 8th June to obtain details of where you have travelled to and the date that you returned into the UK.

I do hope that the improvements in the weather will bring happiness and joy to you all; I certainly am looking forward to being out and about in the fresh air!

See you all bright and breezy on Tuesday 8th June.

Louise Roberts
