We have been notified of a positive case in Year 5. If your child has been identified as a close contact, you will have received an email this morning. Close contacts MUST isolate by law and it is not possible to be released with any sort of negative test result. Pupils must not leave the house unless they are going to the local test centre to get a PCR test. As we are in an ‘enhanced area’ it is recommended that all close contacts get a PCR test, but negative results do not release you from isolation, it would however alter the dates of isolation if your child was confirmed as positive for Covid-19.

If you require any support with the rules, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. We will be welcoming children in Year 5 back into school on Tuesday 20th July. All learning will now move onto Google classroom. Mrs Jeffs and Mrs Walker will be available to support children with learning during school hours and can be contacted via Google classroom. Should your child require a device to work on at home, please contact the school office. Should you child be entitled to free school meals, please contact the school office to request a hamper.

Stay safe.

Mrs L Roberts
